![]() ![]() The chorus, which features Bannon, Newton and Ballou all screaming "EYE OF THE QUARREL" over one of the song's most punishing riffs, is a highlight.īEST LYRIC: "Queen of the garbage, prince of the weeds, my legacy won't inherit disease"īEST MOMENT: dat heavy ass refrain (0:26) Jacob's lyrics in this song are pretty crushing in reference to an abusive relationship. The most divisive element of Converge's sound is undoubtedly Jacob Bannon's shrill, abrasive screaming vocals, and that style isn't always used on this track. I believe that the best way to get into Converge is to explore their discography backwards, so I'm going to go through every track on their new album The Dusk In Us in hopes of finding something you enjoy and getting you one step closer to phase #3.Ĭonverge start this album off with one of the most melodic songs they've ever made. If you're reading this searching for new information, chances are you're at phase #1.
